MDI YMCA Summer Camp Packing List.
Each week of summer camp will be filled with fun field trips and adventures.
Each day we will be off-campus.
Sometimes it's close by and we walk and sometimes we take the YMCA bus. We leave for field trips around 9:00 so please have your child here by 8:45 am in order for them to go to the bathroom and get dressed into bathing suits if necessary. We don’t want them to miss out on any fun activities!
Each Monday I will send out a weekly schedule and barring bad weather, that will keep everyone updated as best as we can.
** PLEASE make sure to sunscreen your child BEFORE coming to camp. We know you can do a better job than we can with all the children and then your child will be ready to go when they get here. We will reapply sunscreen in the afternoon. **
** Please pack your child with a cold lunch. We typically eat outside and will not have a place to warm lunches. **
Things to bring every day to camp in a backpack: bathing suit, water shoes, sun hat, towel, water bottle, lunch, 2 snacks, extra set of clothes, sunscreen.
Things to leave at home please:
Candy, gum, energy drinks, personal electronics/gaming devices, and valuables. If campers need to bring a cell phone to camp it needs to stay in the backpack. If it comes out it will spend the day with camp staff and given back at pickup.
