REOPENING INFORMATION

The MDI YMCA is excited to open once again! Please familiarize yourself with our Reopening Guidelines. The MDI YMCA is engaging in a Phased Reopening Plan, so our Reopening Guidelines are currently for our Phase One. 

As State and local guidelines also change, our guidelines may also change based within each reopening phase. Please be sure to review the guidelines every few days to make sure you are up-to-date on our guidelines. 

Facility Times

Monday-Friday: 6am-7pm (Closing 1pm-2pm daily for cleaning and sanitizing)

Saturdays: 8am-12pm

Sundays: Closed

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • For our Phased One opening, the MDI YMCA will only be open to Members and our Reciprocity will extend to DEFY (Downeast Family YMCA) Members only. Memberships (Annual or Temporary) may still be purchased.

  • Reserved Access - As the MDI YMCA can only allow a certain amount of people within the facility at a time, Members will need to reserve a time slot. Areas that Members can access/reserve time slots for are: Upstairs Fitness Facility, Downstairs Fitness Facility, Pool, and the Indoor Track. A full list of available fitness equipment and where it is located within the building will be made available shortly. 

  • There will be a screening process to enter the MDI YMCA. Masks are required. If you do not have a mask there are some available for purchase at the Welcome Center. Masks must be won in all common areas and in all areas where social distancing may not be possible. Face-masks are not required when individuals are on cardiovascular and/or strength equipment, but are required while transitioning to and from equipment.

  • Screening Questions include, but are not limited to: Do you have any of the following symptoms: fever, sore throat, etc; Have you been in contact with anyone with a confirmed case of COVID-19; Have you traveled out of the state recently?

  • There will be no social seating in our lobby. Chairs around the building are for those with physical limitations and footwear change only.
