MDI YMCA Update
Following the lead of the school district, other local nonprofits, and on the request of Kevin Washington, President of Y-USA, we will be closing the MDI YMCA beginning tomorrow morning, March 16, 2020. In concert with the MDIRSS AOS #91, we will be closed at least until April 26, at which time we will reevaluate.
We understand this will cause a disruption to memberships and programs. We will be working to credit program fees and membership fees can be placed on hold. Please read our Letter to the Membership from the Executive Director, Tommy Parham, regarding membership fees.
We are exploring possibly offering virtual fitness classes, and exploring other ways to serve the community and our community partners during this health crisis.
Please find here a letter from Kevin Washington, President of Y-USA, which he sent to all CEOs of YMCAs.
