Major League Soccer Camp
June 21 – June 25

The number one soccer program in the country comes to Bar Harbor once again for this annual event, run by a crew of international soccer experts. Players are guaranteed to improve skills during this action packed week. Each participant receives a t-shirt and soccer ball. Bring shin guards, cleats, a snack and & a water bottle to camp each day.
White Water Rafting
June 25 – June 26

Rushing rapids and fun galore await you on our white water rafting trip! Campers will leave Friday June 25th for Magic Falls Rafting Company located on the Kennebec River in beautiful western Maine. The next day we will be led by Magic Falls’ expert team of rafting guides down the mighty Kennebec! Cabin tents, wetsuits, and all meals will be provided for by Magic falls. A slideshow following the four hour trek down the river will also be provided. We will be returning to Bar Harbor by 9pm June 26th. Note: An information packet with a list of ‘what to bring’ will be provided upon registration.
Island Adventure Camp

Outdoor adventure is the theme of this action packed camp. Discover all that Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park have to offer. A different peak, trail or waterway will be explored everyday. Be prepared to mountain bike, hike, kayak, boulder, swim and body surf. This camp will bring out the outdoor adventurer in your child. Bring water bottle, lunch, snack, sturdy sneakers, back pack, sun screen, mountain bike and helmet. Mountain bike/helmet can also be rented.
YMCA Basketball Camp
June 28 – July 2

Take it to the hoop! Learn dazzling basketball moves at the MDI YMCA this summer! Camp focus is on fundamental skills, and kids will be constantly on the go during this action packed week of fun! This invigorating camp is designed to bring out the best in children by teaching sportsmanlike behavior and providing a deeper understanding of teamwork & responsibility. Bring water bottle, snack, a bathing suit, and towel.
Fishing Camp
July 5 – July 9

Fish your mornings away as you explore a variety of local watering holes. Campers will learn about ocean, lake, pond and stream ecosystems and the various species of fish that live in them. All catches will be returned to their natural environment. Bring water bottle, snack, weather appropriate clothing and closed face fishing rod and tackle box.
Sailing Camp (Age 10 – 18)

Offered weekly throughout July. Learn to sail, or improve on already learned skills with instructors at the Bar Harbor Yacht Club. Camp features sailing education and lots of hands on time on the water. Participants need to obtain transportation to/from the Bar Harbor Yacht Club. Participants should bring their own life jackets.
Lenny DeMuro Swim Team Camp
July 5 – July 9. Age 7+
9:00am – 3:00pm
$150 member; $190 non-member
Expert instruction during the two, daily pool sessions is guaranteed. Each day a different stroke is emphasized, with a special focus on speed training. Out of the water activities are also featured including group games, kickball & capture the flag. Must have prior team experience, or by permission. Bring bathing suit, towel, goggles, lunch, snacks, sunscreen, water and sneakers.
All Star Camp

Get ready for a week of sports and games! This exciting new camp will feature a different sport or game everyday – as campers compete for coveted ‘gold medals’. Learning to become gracious competitors, and building lasting relationships with fellow participants will be a major goal of this camp. The camp will end with a, “MDI YMCA All-Star Camp Olympics” where campers will get the chance to go for the gold! Participants should bring water bottle and a snack.

KC Jones Basketball Camp provides kids with a Go-Go-Go, fun, active environment while teaching fundamentals along with game decision-making drills. K.C.’s coaching appearances give kids a unique opportunity to learn from a man whose basketball accomplishments are virtually unequaled. Also returning is former U Maine Black Bears Coach Skip Chappelle, and Camp Directors Ellis “Sonny” Lane & Dave Leal. Note: Prices do not include housing or package deals. Splash! Camp

Splash Camp is dedicated to fun in the water. How do you escape the heat of the summer? How about a game of pool-hoops? How about the coolest new camp thatthe MDI Y has to offer! Splash Camp features activities in and out of the water, including daily field trips to local beaches. Splash on in to the Y for Splash Camp this summer! Participants should bring bathing suit, towel, lunch, snacks, water and sunscreen.
Golf Camp
July 26 – July 29 (4-days)

This program teaches the junior golfer at his/her own level of experience. Students work on that fundamental swing, as well as the proper mechanics and basics of golf course play. Students learn aspects of the game like driving, using irons, chipping, pitch/bunker shots and overall golf etiquette. Parents must provide transportation to and from Kebo. Participants should bring clubs. If you don’t have clubs, please let Suzie know when you register.
Cheering Camp
August 2 – August 6

Campers will learn cheers, chants and dances formatted for beginner to intermediate level. Kids will also learn various cheerleading tumbling skills. Camp goal is to implement good cheering skills and techniques that kids can take with them to their squads. Friday there will be a show for Camp Cadillac and parents. Bring bathing suit and towel, water bottleand snacks. Must wear leotard and/or shorts, t’s and sneakers. Hair must be up in a ponytail.
Football Camp
August 2 – August 6

All experience levels are welcome to join the action at this non-contact camp. Instruction focuses on stance, proper alignment, footwork, ball handling skills & more. Group work focuses on team work, confidence, and sportsmanship. Daily touch football games will give kids the opportunity to practice new skills and enjoy what the game is all about. Bring cleats, water bottle, snack, bathing suit, towel and a mouthguard.
Amped Camp (includes 1 overnight)

If you are 10 – 14 years of age and are ready for something new and challenging, then it is time to get Amped! Jump into structured bouldering, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking and camping. You’ll learn important survival skills and first aid skills before heading off with staff and fellow campers on an overnight wilderness sleepover. Must have completed Island Adventure Camp (offered during week two), or by instructor permission. Participants will receive an info. packet on ‘what to bring’ upon registration. Run, Jump, and Fun! Camp

Camp focus is on getting kids outside, playing games, and having fun in the sun! A different theme will be focused on each day with games that involve movement and physical activity. Monday will be “Treasure Hunt Day”, Tuesday will be “Off to the Races Day”, Wednesday will be “Team Building and Group Games”, Thursday will be “Superhero” day, and Friday will a “Campers Choice!” The goal of this camp is to simply have fun, be silly, and make new friends. If you love to run around and get your silly's out, this is the summer camp for you! Participants should bring sneakers, a water bottle and snack.
Challenger British Soccer Camp
August 16 – August 20

Each child will be coached by a member of Challenger’s British Coaching staff, flown to the USA exclusively to work in soccer camp. Each camper receives a free camp t-shirt, ball and player evaluation. In addition, any child who signs up online at least 45 days prior to camp receives a genuine British soccer jersey ($30 value). https://registration.challengersports.com. Participants should bring cleats, shin guards, a water bottle and a snack.
Age 4 – 6: Fun games, competitions and skill-building activities are designed to enlighten and develop budding players.
Age 7 – 11 & Age 12 – 18: Emphasis is placed on skill development and mastery of core techniques through individual and small group practices and coached games.
We are looking for families to host the coaches. Host families not only provide a memorable and truly international learning experience for their children, but also receive an $80 rebate towards the cost of camp.
Wonders of Nature

Explore the natural beauty that is Mount Desert Island! The goal of this camp will be to help youngsters foster a growing knowledge and curiosity about the beautiful natural setting that surrounds us. Everyday campers will accompany staff members on short nature hikes designed to focus on observation and interpretation of Acadia National Park. We’ll learn how to identify trees, track animals, identify different fish and bird species, hike trails and learn about how ecosystems grow and interrelate. Participants should bring a water bottle and a snack to camp each day.
Back to School Vacation Camp

Adult Sailing Camp

New to sailing or just need to brush up your skills? This course gives new sailors a thorough introduction to the basics of sailing a small boat, including rigging and de rigging, tacking, jibbing, helming, getting underway and returning, sail trimming and safety. A low student to instructor ratio ensures lots of attention at the helm. Bring life jacket.
